Jimmy Wade Stanley, Sr.
Mr Jimmy Wade Stanley, Sr. 77, of Lake Waccamaw died Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born February 18, 1941 in Columbus County the son of the late Arbie Stanley and Lishie Reaves Stanley.
Jimmy was the Fire Control Supervisor with Riegel Paper, Federal Paper and International Paper Co. until his retirement after 42 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Waccamaw. He served with the Lake Waccamaw Fire & Rescue and was a former member of the Lake Waccamaw Planning board. He was a Lake Waccamaw City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ward Stanley; nephews Ray Rogers of Wrightsville Beach and Stan Rogers of Rocky Point.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy Wade Stanley, Jr. his parents, a brother, J. L. Stanley and a sister, Lillie Mae Rogers.
